4 Star Hotels selected for the 'European Apéritif' Tour
Tour Accommodation - Hotels
At Quo Vadis Holidays we hand-pick each and every one of our hotels based upon three very important criteria:
- quality, location and character.

Our aim is to provide a hotel in each location that is of European 4-star level as well as being in an area that is central to the city or town we are in and that there are places of interest nearby.
In Europe however the “star” system is a little less structured than in Australasia and North America. A 4 star hotel in Paris can vary greatly to a 4 star hotel in Italy. Even within cities we find that there can be a large difference in quality between hotels in the same 4 star category. It seems at times very much up to each hotel owners interpretation how many stars they are!
In the larger cities it is impossible to be central to all of the major sites at the same time as they are spread out over such a wide area. In this case we choose hotels that provide the right quality AND are close to a place or area of interest. For example one of our hotels in Paris is right next to the latest trendy bar and restaurant area, The Marais. Our other Paris hotel is located just north of the beautiful Opera Garnier and not far from both the central Place de la Concorde and vibrant nightlife of Pigalle. Hotels that are located more centrally in the bigger cities will always have smaller rooms than those located on the outskirts due to their age. Of course most of the buildings in the center of these historic cities are in some cases many centuries old themselves. Our way of thinking is that you are away to have a “hotel tour of Europe” and not a “tour of European hotels”! For this reason we choose more centrally located hotels so that it is easier for you to access these exciting areas as the locals do rather than having to be hoarded on and off a coach to get to them or feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere. Still, we aim to provide most of our hotels at a 4 star level. In some cases such as Santa Margherita there are limited hotels that are prepared to provide a 3 night stopover for a group and so we are limited in choice however we choose a lesser 4 star that has a good location, pool, great view and lots of “character”!
In cities where we use a mutliple of hotels, you will be advised prior to your tour starting as to which hotel has been secured for your tour. Please note that sometimes due to over-booking that these hotels can change. In this rare case we always retain a hotel of AT LEAST the same quality as that originally booked.
